Start from scratch. Cut off the superstructure completely. It is most probable that the structure - as it is now - would not be able to hold the planned 2nd story.

Alfred Wolfe, Marine Surveyor - REPORT
Highest mast including crow's nest must be salvaged.
|
- Alu has been decided for.
- Plywood rots - as can be seen in the AS now.
- Fiberglass needs a form to made.
- Alu is sturdy, rot-proof and will last 15 years.
|
|
|
- Leave the jib (foremost sail)?
- Will save fuel on longer trips in favorable wind.
- Main mast with crow's nest is being kept for filming sakes anyway.
- Bigfoot logo on that sail as wished.
|
 |
| As with the main sails - which are being removed because of rare usage and because they use up a lot of space: |
- What's with the galley (kitchen)?
- It seems too large at the moment. Example 6 cookers - 2 ovens!
|

Microwave : Stainless Steel, 1800 watts
Oven : 1 x Gas
Chiller Room : 1 x large capacity; 12ft x 4 ft x 6ft
Freezer : 1 x vertical freezer
Other : Full S/S double sink with dish drying/draining area
Trash compartment
Substantial storage (stainless cupboard and overhead)
Air-conditioned and fan extractor system with grease
filter and illumination |
- A snack and dining area must be there for hot water, coffee, tea, soup, snacks, catering etc.
|
Ok - in lounge |
- What's with sleeping quarters?
| Crew - yes. How many? |
6 |
| Size and location of Capt. cabin? |

| And visitors too? How many? |

Jens - Finn
- Does deck at bow have to be raised like this - or can we level that? Leveling would allow us to extend lower deck towards front. How about anchor and all that stuff in front now? Additional costs?
- Can we add a roof top. How about stability? How many people?
- Position of machines - just leave em where they are?
- To move the fuel tanks down from where they are now - what needs to be done? Waht needs to be established?
- Standard size of wheelhouse?
- Leave jib? If yes, where, how?
- aircon (individual, split or centralized - concerns with doors - solutions)
- Engine delivery time? used Japanese
- How much space for dinghys?
- I PLEASE need links for materials and possibilities. We need to begin weighing options, costs and providers. Where to purchase? How long is delivery? (Jens: 2 weeks max NORMALLY)
- walls are plain alu? what about insulation between?
- Floors - anti-slip, no linoleum, options, colors, materials
- sliding doors (width - aircon sealed)
- windows
- lights / lighting options
- furnitures
- tank clamps
- eg. material for divers seating
- compressor and whip - can be downstairs? additional cost
- foldable plattform - how, raisable, hinges, pullies, hydraulic
- exhaust fumes at back when in water
- septic tank?
- berths: foldable, lowered from ceiling, permanent in place
- elefant skin, other grip materials
- hose for shower outside
- Compressor in Engine room instead of on deck
- power supply (only 220 or 110 and 12 too?)
- Piracy gun?
- NorMar will be responsible for ordering from suppliers? (Jens: Yes. we add 10%)
